For what purpose do we process your personal data?
At A2D World, we process the personal data provided by data subjects in order to maintain, conduct and control our business relationship, which includes handling your inquiries or requests for information or documentation.
Likewise, the data provided will also be processed to send you commercial information about our products and services that may be of interest to you, by post, e-mail, SMS or any other equivalent means of electronic communication.
How long will we store your data?
Information about your contract.
Your personal information will be stored for the duration of the contract, as long as the deletion of your data is not requested, and during the limitation period of the actions that may arise in relation to this contract; as well as to satisfy any requests that we might receive from official organisms such as the Finance and/or Social Security Ministries. In any case, the maximum storage period will be five years from the termination of the contract.
Information to send you commercial communications
The personal data provided for the sending of commercial communications will continue to be stored after the contractual relationship is terminated until you revoke your consent, all without prejudice to your right to object or to erasure.
What are the legal grounds for processing your data?
The legal basis for processing your data is the execution of the commercial relationship to which you are party, so that we can manage, conduct and control the corresponding commercial and contractual relationship. All the information that we request from you is obligatory; as a result, failing to provide certain data may make it impossible to provide the services we offer through our website.
In connection with the sending of commercial communications by electronic means – by virtue of a prior contractual relationship – the legal basis is the legitimate interest of A2D World, pursuant to Article 21.2 of the Law of Services of the Information Society.
In connection with the sending of commercial communications by any means, including electronic means – regardless of any contractual relationship – the legal basis is the consent that is requested at the time and that you freely grant. If we do not obtain your consent, A2D World undertakes not to process your data for advertising purposes.
To whom will your data be disclosed?
A2D World may disclose your personal data to airlines, hotels and those other third parties as necessary in order to provide the services you contracted. Additionally, your data may be transferred when there is a legal obligation to do so:
To law enforcement agencies (if required by court order);
To judges and courts, in compliance with requirements, legal obligations or as part of legal proceedings;
To banking institutions, to process collections and payments;
To the Revenue Ministry, to comply with tax requirements;
To financial auditors, to comply with financial obligations;
and to any other third parties to whom, pursuant to the relevant regulations, we are required to provide your data, such as appropriate Government bodies, for control, registration and inspection purposes.
However, if at any time in the commercial relationship it is necessary to disclose your data to third parties for new purposes, said disclosure will be made only after A2D World receives your consent do to so and in the legally required manner.
There may also be third parties who, as a result of services rendered to A2D Travel, may access your personal data.
Will your data be transferred internationally?
We will not transfer your personal data internationally.
What are your rights when you provide your data to us?
Anyone has the right to obtain confirmation regarding whether A2D Travel is processing personal data of relevance to them or not.
Interested persons have the right to contact A2D World, at Adolf Queteletlaan 40 Edegem 2650 Antwerpen, Belgium or by email at [email protected] (please provide valid proof of ID when writing) to access their personal data, as well as to request that inaccurate data be corrected or, when appropriate, to request the deletion of the data when, among other reasons, they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. They may also exercise their right to data portability.
In certain circumstances, the data subjects may request to limit the processing of their data, in which case we shall only retain it for the exercise or defence of legal claims.
Likewise, and for reasons related to their specific situations, data subjects may object to the processing of their data. A2D World shall stop processing the data, except on compelling legitimate grounds, or for the exercise or defence of possible legal claims.
Finally, under the terms laid out in the current legislation, data subjects may revoke any consent they have provided, and they shall also be entitled to file a claim with the Beligum Data Protection Agency.
